Aluko Damilola Grand SADG

Aluko Damilola Grand Charles also known as SADG (born 18 June 1993) is a Nigerian Economist[1], Philanthropist[2] and Entrepreneur[3]. He chairs SADG Group, SADG Frames[4], Koya Logistics and is the founder of SADG Foundation

In 2020 he was named on Fresh Face Magazine as the youngest CEO of the Year.

Childhood and family[edit]

Aluko was born in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria, on 18 June 1993, to Oludare and Olabisi Aluko from Ilesha in Ilesha west Local Government Area of Osun State.  He grew up with his Grandparents, His grandfather whom is Chief J.O Adeyemo, the Sarumi of Fiditi land in Oyo state a minority leader in the Nigerian Chief Representatives.

He also learned the attributes of writing from his Uncle T.M Aluko

Education[edit]

He studied Economics Education at Lead city University obtaining a Bachelor of Science with a Lower Second Class (2:2). Afterward, he studied and received a Master of Science degree in Economics at the National Open University of Nigeria NOUN

Early career[edit]

Aluko worked as a teacher while serving as a Youth Corp during his National Youth Service Corps in 2014, before starting his career as an Entrepreneur. Aluko subsequently joined Arik Airline Lagos while working as a customer service representative in 2015

On his early career, he has said:

I started my career as an Entrepreneur, a business man to be specific, young, hungry, and hardworking, but the reality was that I was just one of the thousands of young Nigerian graduates, all eager to succeed.

SADG Frames[edit]

Following the situation of the country Aluko followed his dreams to build his own business SADG Frames in 2015, Aluko led the company as Managing Director from a one room business to a pan-African brand with subsidiaries in 4 African countries, London, and Canada.

SADG Foods[edit]

SADG FOODS was incorporated in 2016 in IBADAN, Nigeria. Realizing that Nigeria had not been able to meet local demand for food in its various processing stages, Aluko started a Garri plantation and also production of easy munch snacks such as Choco Corn (a chocolate pop corn by SADG) Plantain chips and more. Giving it a proper branding and good tastes to carter for the need of everyday citizens across Oyo state.

Koya Logistics[edit]

In 2018, he founded Koya Logistic, his family-owned logistics company. Aluko also established in the same year the SADG Foundation, an Africa-based foundation putting food and smile on the faces of people in Africa. The Koya logistics was introduced to carter for the delivery of frames for SADG Frames later became a popular logistics company in Lagos Nigeria.

SADG Foundation[edit]

Following his establishment of Koya logistics, Aluko founded SADG Foundation. SADG Foundation aims to empower the marginalized communities in Nigeria, Fight hunger with a meal and showing loving support to less privileged citizen. The SADG Foundation’s belief that the private sector’s role is critical for Africa’s development is hinged on the economic philosophy of Africapitalism, which was introduced by Aluko; "that the African private sector has the power to transform the continent through services to the people, creating both economic prosperity and social wealth."

In 2019, Aluko committed N10 million to feed and nurse pregnant women across Lagos and Ibadan Nigeria - an entrepreneurship initiative designed to empower Nigerian nursing mothers and pregnant women through a learning programmes, training, funding, and mentoring.
