The Drums of Manalao is a 1949 Australian radio serial for children written by Betty Roland. It aired on the ABC every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, starting on Monday, May 16, 1949, at 5.30 p.m. Episodes went for ten minutes.[1]

Premise[edit]

According to ABC Weekly "it tells the story of a family of four— Timmy, Biddy, and their mother and father —who return to their devastated home in Manalao after the war. The adventures they experience are many and varied."[2]
