Tim Krause

Tim Krause is a German right-wing populist and extremist. He is member of AfD and employed press spokesmann pf AfD fraction in state parliament Brandenburg.

Krause studied economics and business informatics at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Hesse as well as philosophy, philosophy of science, history and German studies in Munich and Potsdam. From the late 1990s to the late 2010s he wrote scripts, especially for television series such as: B. the crime series SOKO Munich and the medical series Der Bergdoktor. He works as an author, producer, radio and television journalist and developer in the media and in start-up business.

In the mid-2010s, he said he converted to Islam in Morocco for marriage, but later returned to Catholicism. Later he positions himself against the alleged “Islamization” in Germany. Krause joined the AfD in 2016. He worked as a consultant in four of the party's state associations. He was also a “scientific assistant” to René Springer, MP of Bundestag.

In 2020, Krause ran in the local elections in Bavaria, in 2021 for the federal election for constituency 61 (Potsdam - Potsdam-Mittelmark II - Teltow-Fläming II), but only came in fourth place.

He is press spokesman for the AfD parliamentary group in the Brandenburg state parliament.

In July 2023, Krause received a fine for tax evasion.[1]

In January 2024, Krause, together with IB activist Martin Sellner and other activist from the extreme right, took part in a secret meeting in Potsdam where racist expulsion plans were discussed.[2] The meeting was uncovered by Correctiv.[3]

Krause is divorced and the father of three children. In 2021, the Potsdam public prosecutor's office investigated Krause because he had violated his maintenance obligation.[4]
