The general election for mayor of Fort Lauderdale will take place on November 5, 2024, concurrent with the United States 2024 presidential election. The incumbent mayor, Dean Trantalis, is seeking re-election.[1] Perennial candidate and Fort Lauderdale lawyer Jim Lewis[2] and local activist Chris Nelson [3]are also running.
