Arlyson Gomes Santos (born August 9, 2003) is a Brazilian actor, filmmaker, journalist, and writer. He currently serves as the president of the National Committee of Brazilian Art (CNAB).[1]
Biography[edit]
Originally from Bragança, Arlyson graduated in journalism and visual arts. In May 2023, he revealed that he is bisexual.[2] In September of the same year, he and his partner were victims of homophobic attacks,[3][4] garnering support from the LGBTQIAPN+ community and public figures.[5][6]

Television and Cinema[edit]
Arlyson began his career in 2015 with the film "Seashore".[7] In 2018, he acted in "Hard Paint". In 2020, he starred in the series "Reality Z".[8] In addition to acting, Arlyson is also an author, releasing "The Brazilian Antithesis" in 2022.[9][10] In 2023, he produced a miniseries on scientific exploration.[11] In 2024, he released his first short film, "Que Comience el Domingo por la Noche",[12] and a documentary about his grandmother.[13] In 2024, Arlyson started hosting the show "TV CNAB: Culture in Focus".[14][15]
Current Position[edit]
On June 2, 2024, Gomes was elected president of the National Committee of Brazilian Art (CNAB) with 100% of the votes.[16] His term will last six years, focusing on strengthening Brazilian art and promoting cultural diversity.[17]
