Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Tinggi or SK Bukit Tinggi for short, is a primary school located in Kedah.
In 1994, the concept of organizing Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Tinggi was initiated by Cikgu Osman Bin Ahmad, the Vice Head of the Bukit Tinggi UMNO Branch, during its general meeting.
The purpose behind establishing this school was due to the overcrowding of students at SK Kepala Batas and the population growth in the surrounding area.
A letter with the proposed site location was sent by the UMNO Bukit Tinggi Branch to the Kedah State Education Department, the District Education Office, and the personal representative of the Prime Minister of Malaysia (Tuan Haji Saad Bin Hj Hashim). This proposal was brought to the Kubang Pasu District Action Council Meeting, where approval was granted for the project. The matter was also brought to the attention of the Minister of Education Malaysia at the time, Dato' Mohd Najib Bin Tun Razak.
The initial allocation approved by the ministry was RM 1.1 million.
In 1998, The land acquisition process has been carried out despite various constraints faced from the residents, landowners, and the Public Works Department (JKR).[1]
